Arrival to Madrid
Arrival in Madrid, the starting point of your Andalusian journey and one of Spain’s most vibrant historic capitals.
To facilitate arrivals, two scheduled group transfers are provided from Madrid–Barajas Airport:
• 09:00 First Group Transfer — early arrivals
• 13:00 Second Group Transfer — mid-day arrivals
Travellers arriving outside these times may make their own way to the hotel independently or request a private transfer.
At 14:00 travellers gather at the hotel for the Welcome Meeting, marking the official beginning of the tour. Meet your Baraka Trips Muslim Guide and fellow Muslim travellers as the journey and practical details are introduced.
Later in the afternoon, enjoy a first orientation through Madrid’s historic centre, visiting Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace district, offering an introduction to the cultural atmosphere of Spain’s capital.

After breakfast, depart Madrid and travel to Toledo, historically known as Tulaytulah, once one of the most important intellectual centres of medieval Iberia. The city was renowned for its scholars, translators, and scholars who preserved knowledge from the Islamic world.
Explore the historic old town, where traces of Islamic architecture, medieval mosques converted into churches, and narrow Moorish streets still reflect the cultural exchange that defined the city.
In the afternoon, continue south toward Granada, the final capital of Muslim Spain and home to the magnificent Nasrid dynasty.

After breakfast, explore Granada, the capital of the last Islamic Emirate of Al-Andalus.
Visit the breathtaking Alhambra Palace, a masterpiece of Nasrid architecture renowned for its intricate geometric decoration, Quranic inscriptions, and serene courtyards. Continue through the elegant Generalife Gardens, once the summer palace of the Nasrid rulers.
In the afternoon explore the historic Albaicín quarter, beginning at the Main Mosque of Granada, before enjoying panoramic views from the San Nicolás Viewpoint overlooking the Alhambra.
Overnight: Granada
After breakfast, travel into the Alpujarra region, nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains. This dramatic landscape served as the final refuge for Muslim communities following the fall of Granada in 1492.
Visit traditional white mountain villages and the town of Órgiva, where a small Muslim community continues to live today. The region’s terraced landscapes, irrigation systems, and architecture still reflect the influence of Andalusian agricultural traditions.
Return to Granada in the afternoon.

After breakfast, depart for Córdoba, once the capital of the Umayyad Caliphate of Al-Andalus and one of the most advanced cities of medieval Europe, known in Arabic as Al-Qurtubah.
Visit the extraordinary Great Mosque of Córdoba, famous for its forest of red-and-white arches and considered one of the greatest monuments of Islamic architecture in the West.
Continue exploring the historic centre and the traditional Jewish and Arab quarters, where narrow streets reveal the multicultural heritage of the city.
Overnight: Córdoba
After breakfast continue west to Seville, one of the most influential cities of Al-Andalus and an important cultural centre during the Almohad period, known in Arabic as Ishbiliyyah.
Explore the historic city centre, including the Giralda Tower, originally built as the minaret of the Great Mosque of Seville. Continue to the magnificent Alcázar of Seville, a royal palace showcasing centuries of Mudéjar and Islamic-inspired architecture.
Enjoy free time to explore the city’s vibrant atmosphere and historic streets.

After breakfast, travel through the heart of Andalusia toward the Atlantic coast.
Stop in Jerez de la Frontera, known for its Andalusian traditions and historic architecture. Continue to the hilltop town of Vejer de la Frontera, one of the most picturesque white villages of Andalusia, where Islamic urban design still shapes the layout of the town.
In the afternoon reach Tarifa, the southernmost point of continental Europe, where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean and where Africa can be seen across the Strait of Gibraltar.
Overnight: Algeciras / La Línea
After breakfast, travel inland to the dramatic mountain town of Ronda, one of Andalusia’s most storied historic cities. Explore its historic centre and admire the famous Puente Nuevo Bridge, which spans a deep gorge dividing the old and new parts of the city.
Continue the journey to Málaga, historically known as Al-Mālaqah, a coastal city shaped by Phoenician, Roman, and Islamic influences.
At 15:00 a scheduled group transfer will take travellers to Málaga Airport or selected city drop-off points.
